Anti Rave is a modular free patching* synthesizer in compact format.

Building and expanding on the ideas of VCOOO- Spiked Pulsing Techno Rhythms, Additive Ambient Drone Textures, Hollow Flutes, Retro Game Sounds, Metallic Rave Stabs, Shifty Melodies, Poly Rhythmic Percussions are here to be excavated.

At center of Anti Rave are 4 VCOs and a 8 stage clock divider that divides a signal in halves all the way down to 1/256.
This however is not a typical clock divider. It also functions similar to a filter. This clock divider has an audio output and 2 exciter inputs.

Very interesting sounds can be had when the exciter is fedback some of the divide down outputs of the clock divider.

Here by using the two control parameters there are possible mellow almost acoustic like sounds, harmonically rich sounds typical of additive synthesis, all the way to harsh sounds like screaming mayhem.

***Free patching because with the exposed patching interface that you connect together with alligator clips - you can patch everything. Stack connections on inputs, on outputs, use finger touch, use metal wires or anything conductive, circuit bend, add additional components. Everything is opened up.

- 4 VCO oscillators - 2 low frequency only - 2 switchable between audio range and lfo.

- 2 Low Pass Gates for Audio or CV.

- Chaos register which generates stepped voltages (looped or free running) for modulating any of the other sections.
